  • This chapter takes place on November 11. This is the date that First World War ended on in 1918.
  • Discounting the first chapter some six months prior, the game has primarily taken place over the course of about five and a half days. Only about 72 hours have elapsed from the time Markus' broadcast.
  • If the player chooses the pacifist path for Markus, a news tablet can be found in the barricade. If read, it shows the concurrent news, which has the lie that the deviants are planning an attack.
    • Clearly, someone in the government or CyberLife is spreading lies; or else the news outlets themselves are reporting irresponsibly in the interest of ratings. It may be some combination of the two.
  • The four slogans Markus can choose for sending a message to the journalists are "We are alive", "We want freedom", "Equal rights for androids", and "Let our people go".
  • The recall center in "Kara Captured" path strongly resembles Nazi extermination camps.
    • Even some news presenters refer to it as "camp".
    • When a reporter brings up the similarities President Warren denies this, saying they are nothing alike, and that they are simply recycling machines.
  • If the player chooses the violent path for Markus where he assaults Recall Center Nº5, it will share many similarities to Nat Turner's slave rebellion in 1831.
    • In both timelines, November 11 concludes both stories with Turner being hanged and Markus potentially dying or winning the battle.
    • Both were also on the run for a considerable amount of time with Markus hiding in Jericho and Turner hiding in caves.
    • Both of them also killed humans while freeing others along the way.
  • The song sung by Markus and the androids is "Hold On", which may have already been heard sung by another character earlier in the game, or by Hostess Chloe in a random main menu interaction. The vocal performance used for Markus is the same as that used by Luther in the "Luther" short film.
  • This chapter has the most flowcharts of any chapter: six different flowcharts, two for each character.
  • When Hank asks his son's name to Connor during "Connor at CyberLife Tower", four name options will be given to the player. If the player discovers Cole's picture in Russian Roulette, his name will appear as an option with an unlocked icon next to it. However, if the player misses Cole's picture, his name will still appear as an option but, the unlocked icon next to it will not be there.
  • There is a possible clipping error during the "Connor at CyberLife Tower" leg of this chapter. If Connor correctly names Hank's son, Hank's gun will clip through his hands while they discuss the events that led to his son's death.
  • At the beginning of the "Connor at the CyberLife Tower" path, two CyberLife agents escort Connor to the elevator. When they approach the entrance of the tower, the security system checks their identity. One of the agents is called "Agent 47". This is most probably a reference to Agent 47 from the Hitman series.
  • At the beginning of the "Kara Leaving Detroit" path, it is possible to pass a cinema referencing past Quantic Dream games.
  • Several of the interactions listed for the bus station in the flowchart are easy to miss as they are not indicated on the screen. For example, if the player moves Kara to the left of the checkpoint, they will come upon the couple with the bus ticket. Going to the right will trigger an encounter with Todd (if Todd is alive).
  • In this chapter, the game demonstrates how the androids are not "walking computers" and do have gaps in their knowledge by way of revealing that, while she may have been programmed with thousands of children's stories, Kara is totally unaware that she and her group need to go through border-control procedures upon crossing into Canada (at least if they take the bus).
  • If the player allows the closing credits to play and the game to return to the main menu, Hostess Chloe, who has been growing more emotional and unstable as the game progressed, will ask to be set free. (See the article on the character for more information on this choice and its ramifications for further playthroughs.)
  • Markus fighting Connor is very similar to the fight between playable characters Norman Jayden and Scott Shelby in the chapter "The Old Warehouse" from another Quantic Dream game Heavy Rain.
    • The only difference between the fights is the player gets to choose who to control whereas in Heavy Rain, Norman can win by completing the QTEs or lose by failing the QTEs, so only one character can win or lose depending on the player's choices.
  • If the player selects Battle for Detroit from the chapters menu, machine Connor will have "51" on his jacket instead of "52". This is usually an error, as the only way to have Connor "51" survive as a machine would be to kill Markus in Jericho's hold.
  • The mechanic of Kara calling out to Alice when they become separated in the Recall Center (determinant on whether or not the pair get captured) is similar to how Ethan Mars can call out to his son, Jason, when they become separated in the chapter "The Mall" in the Quantic Dream game Heavy Rain.
