Notes[]

  • Ferndale is known in the Detroit area for its LGBT population and progressive policies.
  • In-game Ferndale sits close to the Detroit River between Downtown Detroit and the Ambassador Bridge, though real-life Ferndale, MI is located north of Detroit. It is unknown why the location of Ferndale had been moved in the game.
  • According to concept art, this may have been the location of an early chapter for the cut fourth protagonist, Traci.
  • If you look at the 'AX400 Getaway' magazine article during the memory recall scene in Zlatko, it reveals that the train station that Kara and Alice are fleeing to in On the Run is Ferndale Station. Ferndale Station is also on the On the Run map, as it is also used during the Jericho chapter - though this detail can only be seen through the use of freecam.
