  • If Carl Manfred died in Broken the magazine in the middle desk, The Three Laws of Robotic Parenting, will be replaced with the magazine Famous Detroit Painter Dies.

Software Instability[]

Public Opinion[]

  • Listening to the CTN TV news report on the television in the break room after talking to Gavin

Attention to Detail[]

Things you can do with little to no story impact:

  • Look at a showcase "Honor" next to the entrance to the Police station.
  • Attempt to enter the police station without signing in, will result in a female android telling him to check in.
  • Speak to Chris Miller at his desk (Dialogue will vary depending on if Connor died in The Interrogation or the HK400 survived the interrogation)
  • Ask a female android about the location of Hank's desk.
  • Call Hank using his cellphone. (You can then “HANG UP” or “LEAVE MESSAGE”)
  • Stare at a suspect in a holding cell, causing him to react aggressively.
  • Things Connor can do while Hank is in Fowler's office:
    • Go into the men's room, look in the mirror, adjust his tie
    • Go into the empty observation room for interrogation
      • Observe the evaporated Thirium 310 inside the interrogation room. (Visible via Mind Palace) (Only occurs if The Carlos android smashed its head in, shot itself, shot Connor then itself, or all three in The Interrogation)
    • Look at a briefing in progress in a meeting room
    • Look at police androids on the wall.

Notes[]

  • Connor can view Markus' (android without a picture) and North's case files when he looks up the files in DPD central station.
    • Markus' case file will change depending on whether Carl died or Leo was injured.
  • This chapter bears a few similarities to the chapter "Welcome, Norman" from another Quantic Dream game Heavy Rain.
    • Both Norman Jayden and Connor can wait in the lounging area of the police stations.
    • Both Norman and Connor can talk to their partners but the small talk annoys them except Connor can keep talking to Hank whereas Norman doesn't talk to Carter Blake after he tells him he has "work to do".
  • It is possible to skip the interaction with Carlos Ortiz's HK400 if Connor does not go see him before sitting down at the desk. Doing so allows you to remember what the android said without him appearing in the evidence room, though it’s unknown if he survives or not.
  • When wandering into the Interrogation room or observation room from The Interrogation, if Connor and or the HK400 died in the previous chapter when Connor enters the Mind Palace while in the area you can see the blue Thirium light up (despite evaporating and being invisible to the naked eye).
  • Connor has three confirmed unlockable dialogues after Hank leaves Fowler's office.
    • If Connor spilled Hank's drink and failed to find the HK400 in Partners, the dialog "LAST NIGHT" will be unlocked.
    • If Connor died in The Interrogation, he will have the dialogue "NEW CONNOR".
    • If Hank protected Connor in The Interrogation, he is supposed to have unlocked a dialogue “THANKS” but due to a bug it’s permanently locked.
  • Rosanna Cartland will report that Do Humans Dream of Mammalian Sheep, the first book ever written by an A.I. named Voltaire, has recently been published and become a bestseller. The book title Do Humans Dream of Mammalian Sheep is a reference to Philip K. Dick's sci-fi classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Unused Content[]

  • The chapter was originally titled "Police Works".
  • If Connor had saved Carlos' Android, Amanda would have had longer dialogue saying she hopes the transfer request will be accepted before the android self destructs.
  • There is unused additional dialogue from Connor if he mentions the deviant's trauma and stating how it acted irrationally, adding how humans do the same under stress.
  • Detroit City Police Department originally had a much bigger interior as shown in concept art.
  • The terminal originally consisted of an African female receptionist talking and a Caucasian male receptionist as opposed to two identical Caucasian female receptionists.
    • The latter receptionist in the concept art mentioned is likely who Connor would have spoken to instead.
  • The terminal initially had bigger space.
  • Unused dialogue shows that there was supposed to be a news report determined by whether or not Kara killed Todd.
  • The office was originally significantly larger and had more desks.
  • Originally Hank's voice message would have him mention being absent before advising not to expect him to call back and jokingly saying "beep sound".
    • Additionally, if Connor replied to the message he would speak more directly than corporately.
  • When Fowler orders Hank to speak with him in his office he would have additionally told him to bring Connor along.
  • Concept art for the dispute between Hank and Jeffrey depicts the original conversation to be more heated.
  • Early concept art for Fowler's office shows a profile picture of Leo (earlier character design) on a pinboard. This suggests that he might have been arrested before, and/or that might have had a scene investigating the events at Carl Manfred's House, possibly even meeting Leo/Carl depending on whether or not Leo was pushed, though it is currently uncertain.
  • Connor could originally explore Fowler's office before leaving.
  • The prison cell hallway was originally wider and presumably consisted of more cells.
  • The cafeteria was originally bigger as shown in concept art.
  • Originally there would have another cafeteria which consisted of a medication cabinet as shown in concept art.
    • The concept art also shows possibly an unused interaction consisting of a few officers and a detective.
  • Connor could originally analyze the samples of blue blood in the interrogation room if Carlos' Android previously died, including his own blue blood if he was shot as opposed to only seeing it via his mind palace but not interacting with it.
  • There is deleted audio from Gavin at the cafeteria in which he would monologue about the time he and his friend patrolled the strip.
  • In earlier drafts, Chris appeared at the cafeteria with Gavin instead of Tina, and unlike her he would have spoken.
  • There is an earlier version of the cafeteria bullying seen where Gavin (at the time named "Curtis" would have spoken to Chris (at the time named "Chad") questioning the purpose of Connor to which Chris would mention that he is working with Hank, much to the amusement of Gavin. Gavin would then call Connor over to which Connor could ignore him twice or approach him, if he ignored him then Gavin would angrily ask if he's deaf and yell at him again to come over and if ignored again he would advise Connor to answer questions when someone asks next time, if he approached Gavin he would walk over to him and ask him questions. He would then ask about his model to which Connor could answer or dismiss, the former mentioning he's a prototype and the latter annoying him and having him sarcastically say he has a few more questions. After some time he would demand Connor to get Chris a coffee, Chris would try to defuse the situation and politely say it wouldn't be necessary but Gavin would ignore him and persist in his demand, if Connor agreed then Gavin would calmly advise him never to cross him if he wants to stay out of trouble, but if Connor refused then Gavin would threaten and nearly attack him only for Hank to stop him and order him to leave Connor alone, he would sarcastically act delighted by Hank's presence and ask him if he's finally sobered up before wittingly saying that he'll leave Hank to his toy and leaving, Connor would thank Hank to which he would politely tell him not to worry about it.
  • If Connor answered Gavin's question about what model he is, he originally didn't state his model number and only mentioned that he was a prototype. This is because at the time both him and Markus were classified models with their series kept secret from the public.
  • If Connor refused to answer Gavin's question, Gavin would sarcastically reply that he has more questions to ask.
  • Ben and Chris were originally more concerned during Carlos' Android's self destruction.
  • There is an unused interaction that would occur in an office where two cops would talk about Connor with one joking that he at least won't complain about Hank's behavior and the other jokingly replying that not even androids would enjoy working with Hank.
  • Originally Connor could interact with the conference room which had two outcomes (presumably randomized).
    • Outcome 1 had a detective demanding that "tin can" be escorted and another being annoyed that he's here given his current assignment with Hank before adding that Hank isn't involved in this case, then a guard would politely tell Connor that he's not permitted in the conference room.
    • Outcome 2 had a detective demanding Connor be escorted but not insulting him and another realizing that he's Hank's current partner and jokingly telling Hank to stop spying on them, Connor would then apologize for interrupting them.
  • In addition to the unlockable dialogue regarding if Hank refused to offer more time during the crime scene and if Connor was shot by the deviant, there would have been a third dialogue of these called "THANKS" which would be available if Connor saved the deviant in which Connor would express gratitude for Hank defending him from Gavin to which Hank would sarcastically comment that he's already regretting it.
  • When asking about deviant cases, Hank would originally speak in a genuine tone commenting that there are 37 cases at his terminal before jokingly advising him not to be shy.
  • Connor could originally find a photo of Cole on Hank's desk, though he would simply only know that he was his Hank's son but not what happened to him yet.
    • Later, Connor could talk about it with Hank only for Hank to cut him off and warn him never to speak about his son.
